Lumps : Lumps in your mouth are not normal. I cannot diagnose your problem over the internet. I would be concerned, and i will suggest that you see an oral surgeon as soon as possible for a definitive diagnosis. It may be nothing, or the visit may save your life. Please do not wait.

Try : Try to see a dentist on an annual basis at least. How long ago have you noticed this condition? If it's been there for a long while (weeks or months) you should have a biopsy to determine the exact nature of this lump. If it is recent, you could wait a couple of days to rule out some food trauma or burns.

Yes : Yes you should be concerned! a limp in the roof of the mouth is abnormal and is an indication of an infection or swelling of tissues in a critical area, and you must have it examined and evaluated by a dentist immediately. You might have an abscess, are a gland that might have started growing at an abnormal speed as a result of irritation from the cigarette smoke. Please go and get checked now, immediately.
