It : It is extremely rare for women who have had a tubal ligation to get pregnant, but it can occur very rarely. To be sure it is safest to take a pregnancy test. When women who have had a tubal ligation get pregnant, the pregnancy is more likely to be in the tubes, though again, this is extremely rare. If you are pregnant and have pain, then you would need to see your doctor. Sometimes periods can be late from stress on the body or hormonal fluctuations, so that is another possibility. I don't know your age but during peri-menopause (from approximately age 45-54) periods can become irregular also.
