I had tubes tied 10 years ago but have not had a period for 3 months. i would like to know some possible causes of the missed periods.

Pregnancy test first: Tubal ligations fail occasionally, and when they do it is often a tubal pregnancy, so you must rule out pregnancy first. Otherwise many things can disrupt your cycles including stress, weight gain or loss, various illnesses, diet changes. A basic evaluation is appropriate at this time.
