It : It sounds like this could be an allergic rash. Although I do not know if the Amoxicillin was the cause of the rash, it way well be. From reading this it sounds like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and hydrocortizone cream may not be doing the trick. I don't know if the next to the last line is indicating itching of ears or eyes. If you have swelling of your throat, mouth, tongue or lips or any difficulty with breathing, it would be imperative to be evaluated and treated immediately to ensure that your airway doesn't become compromised. I normally ask my patients to stop a medication if they appear to be having an allergic reaction. As a doctor, i want to know right away if my patient has complications with a medication. If your symptoms do not start coming under better control, you may need to be evaluated at the er.
