Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your condition. You describe abdominal pain and diarrhea for two days. This could be consistent with a viral gastroenteritis. Spasmotic contractions of smooth muscle in the gut can lead to crampy pain. If food is being moved along the GI tract too quickly, water will not be reaborbed through the large intestine which can lead to numerous liquid stools instead of formed bowel movements. It is very important to hydrate well, to avoid becoming dehydrated by water losses through diarrhea. At this point, you want to be gentle to your gastrointestinal tract. Consider sipping water. You can also drink clear, non-carbonated beverages. Avoid dark liquids like coffee or soda or acidic juices like tomatoe or orange juice. Let ginger ale go a little flat, or drink a warm organic ginger tea. You can also nibble on pieces of crystalized ginger to help settle your stomach. Should your pain worsen, you have severe pain along the left side of your abdomen with fever, you note blood in your stool or you feel dizzy upon getting up with a fast heart rate (possible dehydration) than consider acute medical care take care. Hope you feel better quickly.
