Painful : Painful intercourse (and after) can be due to an infectious process (pelvic inflammatory disease usually due to gonorrhea or chlamydia), cervical or vaginal trauma, etc.. A ruptured ovarian cyst could possibly present this way, and a miscarriage would be associated with bleeding. If you are still symptomatic, you should see a doctor. A pregnancy test needs to be done as well as a pelvicexam and possibly ultrasound, as well as an std check. Good luck.
