The : The feeling of a lump in the throat is called "globus." the most common cause of the feeling is inflammation. It can be stress induces and very infrequently from a mass (lymphnode, thyroid, etc.). I think in your case, it most likely due to trauma from the episode you descibed. Maybe that is exacerbated by underlying silent reflux of acid into the throat area. If it does not subside over the next few days, a visit to an otolaryngologist for an evaluation may be warranted.
