I : I am sorry that you are so uncomfortable and having difficulty sleeping at this stage of pregnancy. Having a cold and congestion can cause swollen nasal passageways and difficulty for patients who are trying to lay flat and sleep. Propping themselves up on pillows can be helpful in that situation. If a patient who is pregnant has a change in fetal movement pattern, it is reasonable to notify their physician of that. Sometimes it can be helpful to increase dietary consumption such as juice/snacks and see if that helps also. As pregnancy progresses, most woman are more comfortable on their side. There are special long pillows that are sold to prop under the patient to make them feel more supported and comfortable.
