Since : Since you are likely pre-menopausal, there are many causes for vaginal bleeding not related to your period such as: - anovulation - iud or Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) use - stopping or starting birth control pills containing estrogen - stress - hormone problems such as with the thyroid - injury/trauma of the vagina from intercourse or a sexually transmitted disease - uterine fibroids or polyps - cervical injury, infection or rarely, cancer - pregnancy (implantation bleeding) it is really important that you see a doctor and have an exam to rule out the more concerning causes such as cancer or infection. When you make the appointment, talk to the office staff about not having insurance. Many doctors will offer discounts or be happy to work out a payment plan that will work for you. Good luck!
