Yes, : Yes, an iud can rarely become dislodged and/or fall out. If you think that your iud is not in the correct spot or if it has fallen out, give your doctor a call. They will be able to examine you and let you know if your iud is ok. Also, you should ask them how to feel for the string that is attached to the iud and hangs through the cervix. This can help you assess in the future whether there are any problems with your iud position.
