Yes, : Yes, you need to be worried about becoming pregnant. You are not protected from intercourse during the first several months that you use oral contraceptives. You need to use condoms for the first several months and anytime you have a new partner or concern for infection. If your period is late then please take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative and you still don't get your period wait two days and re-take it, and if still negative and you haven't gotten your period then see a physician.
