In a one year old you will have to wait out the virus (10-14 days). Give him plenty of fluids and keep him comfortable. Most of all go thru all his toys and surfaces and clean with diluted bleach and water. It is a good idea to wash everything you can. Good luck.

This : This is a viral infection that must be treated symptomatically with hydration and tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin. Fluids are the most important especially with diarrhea, so encourage him to drink. Monitor his urine output by the number of wet diapers he is having a day, and if they stop, take him back to your doctor. The symptoms are the worst in the first 7-10 days and then subside with full resolution in 10 to 14 days. It is very contagious so be careful to wash hands and toys.
