You : You have to wait till the skin regrows and resurfaces. This will take a week or so (in some cases longer).

Visine Eye Drops: Visine -- "it takes the red out" of more than just eyes, by constricting dilated blood vessels that cause redness. Use a q-tip to apply a few drops to your pimple to temporarily decrease redness. Aside from traditional "makeup" concealers, there are "tinted" acne spot treatments & green-tinted products (often used for rosacea) for hiding redness. Be sure to use "non-comedogenic" products.

At least one week: You should wait until the virus runs it course, this is usually 1 week. I also suggest that you may want to throw away your old eye makeup and start with a new supply when the conjunctivitis is resolved.

What ingredients in makeup and cosmetics should be avoided?

Nothing...: ...Unless you are allergic to a specific ingredient. If some makeups trigger a reaction on your skin, you can often determine which ingredient is the culprit by consulting a dermatologist who does patch testing (not all do) and asking to be tested with the "cosmetics tray". Cosmetic companies are often secretive about their formulas, so it is hard to pinpoint specific causes in some cases.

Unlikely: It is possible that if you share your makeup with an infected person, that you could transfer an infectious agent to yourself. But if the only one who uses it is you, it is very unlikely that any serious organism could be at work.
