Glycolysis : Glycolysis is the breakdown of glucose (blood sugar). All it means is that the glucose level from the test is inaccurate because the glucose had broken down - possibly from sitting around too long, or improper storage of the blood or urine sample. Therefore, reporting the number given from the test is useless since the test is known to be inaccurate. If you are healthy and passed the test, don't worry about it - it is just a lab error.

Delay in testing: If blood sits around for a long time, blood cells eat up glucose that produces a low result. It is not a lab error, the result is accurate in terms of the amount of glucose in blood at the time it was tested. Blood glucose drops at the rate of about 6-7 mg/hour, the blood sits at room temperature. What you experienced is a common occurrence due to improper storage.
