A member asked:

If i just recently quit my birth control that i've been on for years and had my period then had unprotected sex does this make m me more succeptable to getting pregnant?

You : You could very possibly get pregnant in that situation. When women go off of birth control, they typically start ovulating in 2-3 months, but can definitely ovulate sooner. So pregnancy is definitely a possibility. Your periods may be irregular for awhile after stopping oral contraceptives, but if you have any suspicion that you are pregnant then take a test.
