It : It sounds like you suffered a "blown" vein from the iv. A vein could have possibly been nicked an eventually became "blown out" over time, which could result in your symptoms. Also consider a possible reaction from the tape that was used to keep the IV in place. It is unlikely a reaction from the levaquin, (levofloxacin) you would have had a more diffuse reaction (not localized to just one arm). Hopefully you are better by now, if not see your doctor. I got the flu shot 3 days ago. Had a fever the day after the shot and developed underarm swelling with pain along the inside of the arm. No swelling or pain on the injection site. The swelling is still there. Is this normal? How long does it last?
Are redness and swelling and pain normal for the area of a flu shot? I got mine yesterday and I can hardly move my arm.
