If you are on a pill that is not helping with these problems, talk to your doctor about a switch to another type. Yes: They are supposed to, but it is actually very variable. Call your prescriber and a different BCP might work better. To address PMS and acne, you cannot go wrong by cleaning up your diet, a trial off dairy, grains and sugar would be worth a try .
