How long does it take someone to recover from lung cancer surgery and bio-lung insertion?

Ask your doctor: What you are asking about, specifically bio lung insertion, is not common medical practice. This must be part of an investigational research. Extensive disclosure is common in these situations. If you are having difficulties communicating with your doctor, a research coordinator should be available to you.
