With : With a history of high blood pressure and diabetes feeling light headed and dizzy can be anything from high or low blood sugar, blood pressure that is too high or too low, or an inner ear infection. There are types of strokes that have dizziness and poor balance as warning signs. You should contact your primary care doctor for a check-up as soon as possible. If you have any limb weakness or trouble speaking go immediately to the emergency room. The hernia is, i assume, a hiatal hernia which would be unrelated to stroke. You don't report chest pain but that may be a concern because women having heart attacks can have some of the symptoms you describe. It is important for you to be checked out soon.

Probably not: Could be dehydration as well, especially if you are avoiding food and liquids due to difficulty swallowing from the hiatal hernia. It sounds like iu should see your doctor asap, as this could lead to problems from falling among other things.
