On occasion, the pain can be from appendicitis, pancreatitis or peptic ulcer disease. Other symptoms, such as fever, diarrhea, burning during urination, vaginal discharge, nature of pain (moving, crampy, referred to another location) can also assist in narrowing down the causes, but given the severity and point tenderness, suggesting a localized process with peritoneal signs, you should head into your physician for testing, including a ct scan and bloodwork.
