Canker : Canker sores can be light colored in the middle encircled by a red ring. They usually hurt. If you have been sick, it is not uncommon to get canker sores because your immune system is a little weaker than normal. A cold sore is also called a fever blister. This is from a form of herpes simplex virus. These sores may pop up if you are physically or emotionally stressed (i.e., you have a fever). They are usually tender. If you have had streph throat recently, the stress to your body could cause cold sores or canker sores to form. These sores can be on your lips, gums, inner cheeks, tongue or on the roof of the mouth. Hope your sores resolve quickly.

First : First time "cold soar viral infection" (herpes simplex virus or hsv) is often very dramatic with painful soars on your tonsils, throat up to the lip. It can be very painful, and usually with enlarged lymph nodes under your chin and in the neck, lasting for up to 7 days. This is especailly the case if you catch it for the first time in your adult age.
