Painful : Painful bumps on the vagina are worrisome, especially if you are sexually active. Std's (sexually transmitted diseases) need to be considered. If you are sexually active, herpes is high on the list of possible causes, especially if they are fluid filled bumps that look like blisters. Also syphilis can present as a painful lesion. Genital warts typically do not hurt, however they could cause irritation depending on their location. Other non std causes are cysts, abscesses (bacterial infection) folliculitis etc. I highly recommend you see a medical professional for an evaluation and treatment. In the meantime try an over the counter pain reliever. Best of luck.

I'm : I'm sorry you don't feel well. There are several conditions that could explain your symptoms. If you're sexually active, you may have a sexually transmitted disease; herpes is a good bet, but other stds could cause similar problems. Alternatively, these bumps could be epidermoid cysts, which are benign cysts caused by blocked glands, or you might have folliculitis, which is a bacterial infection of the hair follicles in your skin. Women who shave their labia are at a higher risk for developing epidermoid cysts or folliculitis. All things considered, it would be wise for you to see your family doctor or gynecologist to determine what these bumps are. Infected epidermoid cysts and folliculitis sometimes require antibiotic treatment, as do many stds. If you have herpes, there are medications to treat this, as well. Good luck!
