Gastrointestinal : Gastrointestinal cleansers can be helpful. However, any time detoxification goes too quickly you can overload the body’s mechanisms to release toxins. Detoxifying at an appropriate rate with use of appropriate supplements is the safest approach. If you are detoxifying too rapidly, toxic materials and bacteria can be reabsorbed from the gut back into the blood stream. This can lead to worse health rather than improved health. Signs that you may be detox’ing too quickly include headaches, joint pain, passing a lot of flatus, feeling really tired, insomnia, acne and other skin eruptions. It is not uncommon to have loose bowel movements and some degree of intestinal cramping.

From : From the product description, mag07 is a combination of magnesium oxide and ascorbic acid, or vitamin c. Many magnesium compounds, such as milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) are also known as saline laxatives, since they attract and retain water in the intestinal lumen, increasing intraluminal pressure and thus softening the stool and in some cases, causing diarrhea. As a result, saline laxatives may alter a patient's fluid and electrolyte balance. The diarrhea caused by magnesium products can cause potassium depletion and failure to take extra potassium may lead to muscle cramps. Overuse of laxatives can also lead to laxative dependency, with alterations in bowel habits as well as developing iron deficiency anemia and select vitamin deficiencies. On the other hand, the side effects of vitamin c can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flushing of the face, headache, fatigue and disturbed sleep. Vitamin c can also increase iron absorption (potentially counteracting the effect of magnesium associated iron deficiency).

Magnesium Oxide: Magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed, so loose mushy stools or even diarrhea is a likelihood. The dose of magnesium in the 3 capsule "serving" recommended on the label is 1035 mg. Usual daily needs for elemental magnesium (including food) for most people is 250-500mg/day. If you don't want to experience "aerobic life" by running to the toilet, there are gentler means to digestive cleansing.
