I had a mole under my armpit area, it turned black, it dried and fell off. the area didn't bleed at all.should i worry about? it was a hanging mole

I : I agree. It sounds like an infarcted skin tag that fell off. If it or any pigment returns, i would see a dermatologist. I hope that helps.

It : It sounds like you had a skin tag, or acrochordon, in your armpit. Skin tags are benign "tumors" that tend to occur in body areas where there is a lot of friction. They often disappear on their own when the blood supply that keeps them alive disappears. Skin tags are generally harmless, though they can be irritating when you form a lot of them, and a skin tag that gets infected or interferes with movement may need to be removed. I've attached a link that provides more information about skin tags. If the mole in your armpit left some residual tissue behind, or if it recurs, have your doctor take a look. Good luck! http://www.Medicinenet.Com/skin_tag/article.Htm.

Mole: Sometimes a hanging piece of skin in this area is a skin tag or an irritated mole. If the area returns a dermatologist should evaluate to make sure there is no sign of skin cancer.
