If : If you waited 7 days until after your first shot to have unprotected sex, then you have a less than 1% of pregnancy. If you got the shot within the first 7 days of starting your period, you are protected against pregnancy immediately. If not, then you should use a back-up method of birth control such as a condom for the first 7 days after the shot - after that, you're good to go.
