Occasionally: Most cases appear to be sporadic with low recurrence risk.Occasional reports document clusters of cases in different generations of the same family.Brhtj 1991. Specialized genetic studies have found small gene alterations that occur more often in these patients which could explain clustering in those families and provide a screeniing tool for a limited set of patients.
