If : If this has been going on for a year with no relief from the medications given, then it is time for some diagnostic testing an possibly a consult from a specialist. It sounds like your son needs a chest x-ray to start, and maybe even a ct scan. Also, consider a consult with a pulmonologist (lung doctor) and a allergist as well. I hope you find answers soon.
