Cannot : Cannot be sure that the rabbit is causing the problem, but you clearly should go see an allergist for a workup.

Probable: As many other things can cause hives, this may well be a true allergic reaction to the rabbit or just coincidental. If the problem continues for over 6 weeks or gets more severe despite taking antihistamine , consult an allergist. If you have hives only when exposed to the rabbit, you should get rid of it.
