It : It is a difficult situation when a patient has a problem that seems to have begun after surgery. However, in the case with the information you've provided, it doesn't seem likely your tremors are from either the Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) or the spinal block. To begin with, Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) is unlikely in it's active form in your blood within 3-4 hours of having been given it. It breaks down to less active metabolites, but these too only last up to 30 hours. Spinal block wouldn't likely lead to tremors either as far as i can tell. I would strongly recommend you get in contact with your pcp as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms as they may be a sign of something else going on, like an infection, thyroid issue, or problem with an electrolyte (like sugar, potassium, magnesium) or a vitamin deficiency. Also, tremors are more likely to occur when you are tired, sick or stressed. Good luck!

Co-incident: It seems tremors represent some other condition which has become apparent soon after surgery. Sometimes pre-existing hardly noticeable tremors become more apparent after an unrelated illness.
