Alcohol : Alcohol definitely compromises kidney function thus worsening kidney failure. In short alcohol interferes with the kidney's ability to regulate acid affecting the body's metabolic balance. You should avoid drinking or ask your doctor's recommendation on alcohol intake. Depending on your kidney function your doctor may allow you to have alcohol on occasion. Take care.
