Smartphone screen brightness too dim? in an effort to save iphone and later android battery life, i turned my screen brightness all the way down. at first, it seemed pretty dark. but weeks and months later, it seems ok. though i wonder, could this be bad

No, : Hello,
no, just looking at the dim phone screen will not damage your eyes. In fact, if you start noticing progressive diffuculty with time over the years looking at the dim screen, it may be a sign of an early problem with your eyes and would be a so called wake up call to see your ophthalmologist.
