Will i get tss? i left in a regular absorbancy tampon, when i needed a light one, for 6 hours. when i tried taking it out, it was dry and had to take a bath to wetten it.

If : If you have not gotten toxic shock syndrome (tss) already and you removed the tampon, then you'll be ok. Tss is caused by staphylococcal bacteria that can grow on an inserted tampon that has been left in too long. Usually, once the tampon (or other foreign body) is removed, then the source of infection is gone. Below, i've attached a website with more in-depth information on tss if you are interested.

Probably not: Toxic shock syndrome usually needs a bloody tampon kept in place for at least 24+ hours for the bacteria to grow in place. However, if you notice a fever, pain or a foul vaginal odor, see a GYN MD ASAP.
