Should i take my 18 month old to the doctor now? 7 days ago i took him to the er for pink eye in both eyes. they gave him eyedrops and an oral antibiotic. he seemed to be getting better for a few days, although he was still congested and had a runny nose.

There : There are a couple reasons why he may be sick again: - he may have developed a new viral illness that isn't going to be successfully treated by antibiotics since antibiotics treat bacterial infections - he may have a new bacterial illness that is resistant to the antibiotics he is on. At any rate, you should call his doctor and have him seen since it's impossible to tell what is going on without an examination. I would definitely want to see any of my patients with this history. Hopefully, they can figure it out and get him better for you!

Infection in baby: If still sick, lethargic, spiking fevers, looks sick, not feeding, etc....Do not hesitate. Get the little one to the doctor. I would also call his pediatricians office and speak with the on-call pediatrician.
