It : It depends on whether you are breastfeeding your baby or not. If you are not breastfeeding, then your period should resume about 2 months after you delivered the baby. If you are breast feeding, then your period could start any time after 2 months, though, some women do not have a period while breastfeeding. If you are not currently breastfeeding and have not had a period since delivery, you should contact your ob/gyne doctor to discuss.

Breast feeding? yes: If you are breast feeding, menstrual periods usually are abated or absent. However, ovulation can still occur so contraception is needed. If you are not breast feeding, see your OB MD for an assessment as to why the periods are absent as it is not normal for the periods to not have returned by now.
