You are right, the Nitrofurantoin is the antibiotic, and the Phenazopyridine is too numb the bladder, and it helps us feel like we don't have to urinate all the time which is caused by the infection. If you are not having pain, burning, or having to urinate all of the time, then you don't have to keep taking the Phenazopyridine anymore, but definitely keep taking the Nitrofurantoin for the entire period prescribed.
