It : It is very important that you have a vascular study (ultrasound) of your leg for your symptoms. As you have read, a deep venous thrombosis (blood clot) can be very serious and can lead to very serious consequences including death. Please be evaluated immediately for this.

Not typical signs: This does not sound like a blood clot but the best way to determine ethics is to have diagnostic imaging with a duplex scan or spiral ct.
