Is it possible for a womens uteris to die, shrivel up and fall out of her vagina on it's own? can this happen at home or is this something that would have to be surgically removed?

Women : Women can develop uterine prolapse in which the uterus falls into the vagina. This can sometimes be taken care of with a pessary; a device placed in the vagina to support the uterus. Procidentia is the extreme of this condition where a large part or the entirety of the cervix and uterus protrude outside the vagina. In these cases surgery is usually required. This can be a dangerous condition as other organs can be damaged and infections or other problems can develop and the patient should see a gynecologist promptly.

Surgery needed: As long as the uterus has a viable blood supply, surgery is needed to remove it.
