What : What you are feeling is normal. Your baby is still developing at this time. You may have felt your baby move and it would feel much like a fluttering movement in your lower stomach. Since you have already began feeling your baby move, let your doctor now if a day goes by that you do not feel the fluttering movement. Babies movements become more established betqeen 24 and 28 weeks. You may feel your baby hiccupping and kicking/jabbing by week 28. Once your babies movements have become established, it is prudent to make note of the movements, count them every now and then. By week 28, you should feel about 10 movements every 2 hours. If you do not feel the movements, try measuring again for another 2 hours. If movement has slowed remarkably, let your doctor know. He/she can conduct a fetal stress test to make sure baby is okay. Call your provider whenever you feel concerned about your baby. Stress and worrying is not good for the baby either. It is better to be safe than sorry, so it is always best to keep your doctor aprised.
