Yes. : Yes. Stopping oral contraceptives will trigger "withdrawal" bleeding which is not the same as your period. Was there a reason for stopping other than finishing the pack?

BCP's/pregnancy ?: Each month of taking combination oral bcp's usually involves taking seven days of placebo pills (which contain no hormones), so stopping the active pills for less than seven days will still preserve protection. Ovulation will not take place just by stopping within a couple days of unprotected sex.
