There : There are a few things that could cause these symptoms: - a middle ear infection with a burst ear drum - an outer ear (ear canal) infection - also known as swimmer's ear - an injury to the ear drum or canal by inserting something such as a cotton swab - a foreign object still in the ear canal all of these need to be addressed by a doctor for treatment, so calling your child's physician would be the best thing to do at this point.
