Most : Most patients are able to drive the next day. In our practice, most patients find within 6-8 hours after their procedure that their vision has cleared and likely they are within legal driving limits. However, for safety we always recommend that patients have someone drive them to the 1 day postoperative visit to confirm the vision is within legal driving limits. If you would like a second opinion, mention that you asked a question an avvo and I have offered your a complimentary consultation. Normally our consultation fee is $95.

Lasik: Most patients do not drive on the day of surgery since mild sedation is given. You should be able to drive the next day.
