Don't worry: You might need a pre-operative valium if you are a nervous sort. The staff in lasik surgery suites and well organized to provide a calm and comfortable experience. The procedure is rapid and painless. You will have visual blur for about 12 hours and then rapid improvement.

LASIK surgery: On the day of surgery, you should arrive about 15-20 minutes prior to your procedure. The staff will check you in, clean your eyes/lashes, and place some numbing drops in your eye. You will then go into the laser suite where your procedure will be performed. It generally takes just a few minutes per eye. Once complete, your surgeon will check you at the slit lamp and your procedure is complete.

Easy Procedure: On the day of the procedure the best option is to be calm. The procedure is fast and simple, it would only take about 2-3 minutes per eye. Expect to be given a calming pill then your eyes will be cleaned and you will be taken into the operating suite.
