A member asked:

Could penile cancer look just like a cyst?

Probably not: Penile cancer looks alot more ulcerative and can have a wet appearance. As the cancer increases in size, it does not have characteristics of a cyst, which is typically round, soft, and mobile.

Rare: Penile cancer is a rare diagnosis in the United States. In most cases, the first sign of penile cancer is a change in the skin of the penis. The skin may change color, become thicker, ulcer (sore), or lump. Early detection is key. A penile cyst is unlikely cancer, may be secondary to infection/ inflammation. Consult with a urologist. Best wishes.
