You : You should have your eye examined as soon as possible. Occasionally, what may seem like a minor injury may potentially cause long term damage to your vision. If you are noticing any flashes, floaters or a shadow in your vision, you should have a complete eye exam.

Eye injury: It is common to have redness and puffiness after getting poked in the eye. Try using frequent artificial tears and ice packs/cool compresses. If no improvement or worsening, see an eye doctor.
