A member asked:

Can a high ige level in the blood be an indicator that i have cancer?

No: Actually just the opposite. There is an inverse association of high blood levels of ige and malignancies. The body seems to benefit from the allergy response antibodies (ige) by having increased surveillance for cancer-promoting cellular behavior. http://www.springer.com/biomed/cancer/book/978-1-60761-450-0.

Usually not: High ige is usually a sign of allergy not malignancy.
