Both : Both anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are eating disorders. Anorexia nervosa, characterized by refusal to maintain a healthy body weight and an obsessive fear of gaining weight bulimia nervosa, characterized by recurrent binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors such as purging (self-induced vomiting or excessive use of laxatives) or excessive exercise symptoms of eating disorders in teens: a distorted body image, skipping most meals, unusual eating habits (such as eating thousands of calories at one meal or skipping meals), frequent weighing, extreme weight change, insomnia, constipation, skin rash or dry skin, dental cavities, erosion of tooth enamel, loss of hair or nail quality, hyperactivity and high interest in exercise.

Eating DO: Anorexia is mostly restricting food intake. Bulimia is binging/purging. They can coexist (bulimarexia).
