Probably not: Unless the pain is really severe, this is not an emergency room kind of problem. See your family doctor or internist for this. The emergency room is for emergencies.

Maybe: If the pain is severe, you're vomiting, or the overlying skin is warm/red, go to the er. It could be a hernia that needs immediate attention. Otherwise, it can probably wait to see your doctor or surgeon.
