What does someone's meld score have to be in order to qualify for a liver transplant?

Above 15: Usually to be included on the list it has to be above 15. Depending on the area the score has to be a lot more than that to receive an organ.

What is the score: There is a critical need for liver donors, more people on list for transplantation of liver than available livers, has to be prioritized , a system is developed, who will get it first, based on stage of disease called 'model for endstage liver disease ' ( meld ) score 6 to 40. Some one with 25 will in 7 days , with score of 10 in 1 yr. Some like cancers etc are exempted.
