Not necessarily: Hopefully the fracture is well aligned and it can still be casted or immobilized if it is not nor must determine if the position needs to be corrected by manipulation or surgery always tell my patient better to have a negative x-ray than hope it's not broken and find out that it healed in the wrong position.
