A member asked:

What to do if the baby retina is completely detached?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tough problem: If the detachment is acute and was detected within several days of occurrence there are measures to help the situation. If detachment had been present for more than one week, then treatment and vision is unlikely in that eye. This should be seen immediately by a pediatric ophthalmologist.
